Driver's Side Window Track - fix? S70 1998

That's what snapped on mine too. I fabricated a new attachment out of banding iron but a new one will work even better. The glass is raised and lowered by two supports that are attached to a metal plate that is bonded to the glass. The supports are attached to the plate with clips that have to be removed. Incidentally, there is another thread dealing with this issue below this one. In addition to the broken track, one of the clips on mine had come off so the window was being raised and lowered by one support, causing it to go up and down diagonally. Not sure of the cause and effect but I had two problems to fix.
