Balo, Bremo, or Zimmerman Rotors and which pads? 850 1994

I need advice for replacement rotors for both the front and rears of my 1994 855 because ATE does not make their PowerDisc for the 850 (They're great on my 1988 745 though). I am also dismayed at the large selections of pads and I am also seeking advice on pads.

The car now has OEM rotors and pads and I am interested in the closest OEM replacement.

My Volvo dealer informs me that Volvo recommends only shims instead of paste on the back of the pads. Is this now the case?

My Haynes manual show the rotor replacements as pretty straight forward, but are there and other parts I should have ready when I tackle this job such as clips, boots, grease for the slid pins, or springs?


Any assistance is apprectiated.
