Here's a suggestion... 850 1995

Does your car have headlight wipers? If so, try this:

Go to the wiper on the side where the noise is coming from. Then, gently lift up
on the wiper and see if it cycles once by itself.

The reason I suggest this is because there is a slight possibility that the wiper
motor could be burned out. It could be sitting there grinding since the last time you tried your windshield washer (they automatically come on when using the windshield washer).

I have this same problem on mine. The grinding noise will be constant until you help the wiper cycle once.

Just a thought.
