Glove Box S70 1998

I had a horrible "glove box" squeak, too. I tried adding felt bumper strips between the box and the door, adjusting the door, adjusting the latch wire, bending it, tightening screws, loosening screws, etc.

Nothing worked.

Finally I broke my glove box latch, so I needed to remove EVERYTHING in the area, the glovebox door, the glovebox, the knee bolster.

You could see the firewall from the passenger's seat.

The squeak was still there.

I finally eliminated it by lubricating the latches on the REAR fold down seat!

Interesting acoustics in those cars!

Good luck!
