Maintenance questions V70-XC70 1998

Hi,

So far I have done oil and pollen filter changes on my 1998 V70 T5. This
weekend I will attempt the following, with help from the Haynes manual:

- replace spark plugs
- replace fuel filter
- replace air filter
- replace coolant
- replace brake fluid

A couple of questions.

(1) For the fuel filter job, the Haynes manual says "disconnect the
quick-release couplings using a 17mm spanner to push back the
coupling sleeves." What kind of tool is a "spanner"? What
comparable tool could I use for this?

(2) For the coolant replacement job, the Haynes says "when the radiator
has drained, move the tray to the rear right-hand side of the engine
and unscrew the cylinder block drain tap (where fitted)." The book
has a little picture showing this drain tap. I haven't looked under
the car, but anyone knows if the V70 T5 has this? Also, is there
anything else in the area that I could mistaken for the drain tap,
and end up loosening the wrong thing?

Thanks for any pointers.

Chie
