Sunroof, cabin lights, door remote, garage door opener failure V70-XC70 2001

My Sunroof, cabin lights, door remote and garage door opener failed to operate all at once. I took the car to one Volvo dealer and he claimed that it was the aftermarket amplifier and rear speaker install that caused the problem. The failure though took place 6 weeks after the install of the speaker which was installed by a leading big name installer. Had installer recheck which I witnessed and no problems with wiring etc. Any one had a similiar failure or a guess as to what is wrong?
