Are All 850 loud when idling ? 850

i have a 95 850 GLE
and when idling it seem to bee very loud,
like there is a exhaust leak but
my mechanic cant find any leaks
is it normal

P.S. i also drive 1989 760 GLE
and i have to say that with 306,000 km on it
drives milion times better then 1995 850 with 150,000 km
