Electric problem/poltergeist 850 1997

Thanks...You were right. I replaced alt and problems were cured. Battery was discharged but checked OK. Alt prices ranged from $165 to $345(dealer) Installed a rebuild at $249 since most stores were backordered for this alternator. Job took 3 hours, my first major issue on this car( 3 yrs). Hardest part was re-installing the damn belt and the lower alt bolt. I'd recommend whatever tools are available to facilitate belt installation. Next item...Timing belt...Appreciate the information...
