Looking for S80 input...... S80

I've owned both 1999 and 2000 S80 T6's. The '99 literally self-destructed. The problem was handled very well by Volvo of America who bought the car back and sold us a higher-priced 2000 on the same sales contract. Other than the single event that rendered the '99 useless, the car was actually pretty good - though I must stress that a good dealership is must if you purchase a '99.

The 2000 replacement has been virtually trouble free - save for a skipping CD player. If you're looking for a powerful car for mostly highway driving, this is a good one. If you're looking for some fun with your driving, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. The S80 T6 is quick, fast, and stops very well, but is a rather ponderous handler. In my opinion, the car's chassis is just not stiff enough for the powerful engine.
