Front Windshield Wipers. 850 1993

Hi all.
I've got an emergency problem.
To be without the windshield wipers in rainy Sweden is an impossibility.

They both stoped working today (during my rainy drive to work)
According to the fuses they use the same as the horn.
well ,, the horn works but not the wipers.
there are no resistanse when moving them over the windshield.

What is the most possible thing that can cause this?
is it the relay or some linkage arm that causes them both to stop.

I really need a fast answer so i can drive back from work before weekend.
is there an easy thing to check??

Very greatful to any types of hints and clues.
