My point exactly

When it comes to synthetic oil, it seems the old adage about advertising applies: "Half of what they say is true...but you don't know which half."


This is a very old debate and it's been discussed many times in detail here and elsewhere over many years (a site and/or websearch would locate more details, discussions, etc if desired).
Synthetics have their advantages for various applications, like turbos, extreme temps, etc and they outlast petroleum oils. Some people want the added benefits, others don't care.
