Just goes to show you that everyone has an opinion about Volvo's SUV. Thew reality is that Volvos have always been expensive. There is one thing I would say and that is to wait two years or so. All new vewhicles have growing pains; things that go wrong in the real world with real drivers. Letting the engineers wourk out these things is a better idea than being the one who has to take the new vehicle in because something is wrong.

Additionally, yes you can get less epxensive vehicles (and good ones too, like Honda), but it's all a matter of taste at this point.
