1994 850 T Wagon sudden shake and rattle in right front... 850

Hello,
I searched for a while and couldn't find an applicable thread so here's my questions:
1. All of the sudden (over a 4 day period) I'm experiencing a hard pull to the right and a very noticable shake in the steering as a result of something that I think is going on in the right front axle/drive. I grabbed the tire and moved it back and forth and sure enough, there's a little play in there. Can someone diagnose this for me and offer advice on a solution and the potential cost? I'd like to know before I pay the $60 "diagnostic" fee at the local Volvo dealership.

2. My power seat on the driver's side is not working anymore. Is there a tutorial somewhere that has step-by-step on how the fix the cable/assembly/whatever? volvospeed.com seems to be down.
