Oil down right underside of car. 850 1996

this is a non turbo car.

i noticed an oil leak and the front suspension arm was pretty soaked with oil. strange, becuase my dipstick doesn't show it needing any. the substance is brown and greasy like oil. but it's all along the transaxle and its splashed onto the drive shaft. looking further, i see the oil is splashed to the right side of the cat. it's only on the right side of the car.

the head gasket is good. in fact, the upper engine is perfectly intact. i look around the transaxle and that's where the oil begins, either leaking from the red seal or dripping from above.

i'm going to replace the flame trap becuase it's so filthy there and the throttle body needs a cleaning. i'm also booking an appt. to have it looked at becuase i'm taking a road trip. i originally thought it was the flame trap.

I'm going to clean off the oil and see where the leak is from. does anyone have any clue where this leak is coming from and how i may fix it?
