abs ecu...where is it??? 850 1996

have you ever changed/pulled out your abs ecu? how did you do it?
i mean to change my abs ecu this weekend and tried to look for it last night. the haynes manual had a different picture in it. mine had a round thing (wrapped in black plastic) sitting on a square aluminum casing with a black cover at the bottom. the bottom has 3 little screws on it. are these the screws i have to take out? what kind of screw driver/wrench does it take?
is changing the abs ecu a diy?
thanks for the help.
