Shift Knob Removal Pains S70

I spent a good 2 hours on it. Trying everything to get it off! How did it end??

I cut the whole thing off right under the old knob, metal and all!! My MOMO knob had screws that tightened it on the post, and if anything it was a psudo short shift kit!

The dealer noticed my new knob and commented on it and told me of a story where the mechanic was standing hunched over the knob trying to pull it off (i guess that's how its supposed to come off), and he ended up going up into the windshield!

Good Luck!
