Loose Hood S70 1998

Are all the rubber bumpers in place around the hood?

In my '95 850 -

There are two square rubber pads right next to the hood latches in the front. Our 855 was missing one of these, and that side of the hood fell low enough to rub the paint off the corner of the hood.

In the rear there are two square pads that slip (and I do mean SLIP, almost nothing holds them in place)over the rearmost bolts holding each front fender on. I removed one of these pads, and I was able to wiggle the rear corner of the hood up and down a bit. The rear block is stepped, I think that the high side belongs toward the center of the car. One reason that I told you that these pads slip on is that one of my rear pads was turned at an angle, causing a dent-like mark in the high side of the step.

Your car may be different, but I'm sure it has at least four pads.
