abs ecu...where is it??? 850 1996

The ABS ECU is attached directly to the bottom side of the ABS hydraulic pump with 4 screws. It is black, about 5x7", and has 2 electrical conectors. The screws are male torx, and if you remove the air filter box, access is a bit easier. I don't know what size torx socket you will need, but if you are getting the unit from a dealer, they come with new screws and you can take 1 with you to buy the tool. The screws come in through the bottom. I find that a stubby 1/4" ratchet works best to get at the screws.
