How to get the transmission codes from 94 850 Turbo 850

I have a Hanes book but it does not tell me how to retrieve fault codes for the transmission? which socket A1??

I have a flashing arrow and it was like the car was starting off in 2nd gear then I stopped for a while and all is fine but the arrow still flashes.

Any one know how to get the trans codes and what they mean??
