Oil overfill. Should I be worried 850

I just took my wife's car in for an oil change and they put 6 quarts in it while the owner's manual indicates that 5.6 is the capacity. After checking the dipstick, it was about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch above the max mark, right where the little round indent was. Should I be concerned and try to drain some out? I've heard that some pretty nasty things can happen to an engine that is overfilled. Thanks in advance.
