Radio Cutting in and out 850 1994

About three weeks ago my radio started cutting in and out usually right after I start the car. The power stays on on the radio you can see the station number or the tape indicator, but no sound, a few seconds to a couple minutes pass and and the sound comes on usually staying on but not always. Crackleing usually occurrs when cutting in and out. It doesn't matter if it's AM FM or tape. Any thoughts?
