Evaporator replacement - instructions, experiences....? 850

The Climate Control Service Manual obtainable from Volvo Literature has a good run down on how to replace the A/C evaporator. Cost of the book is about $30.00. Reading the book it really doesn't seem like that bad of a job. It does require removing the steering wheel, steering wheel stalks, dash, and ECC. To play it safe you might want to pick up the SRS manual as well because you need to remove the air bag that is in the steering wheel. Cost of this book is about $35.00. Both books cover a lot more than just these two jobs, so they end up well worth the cost.

Good luck and happy motoring
