Shampoo fears ! 850 1997

Miker got me to thinking about the citric acid thing, so I did a little research on orange cleaners. What I came up with is that the cleaners come from pressed peels and contain orange oil, very low in citric acid. The cleaning effect comes from an organic compound D-Limonene.

In addition of all the orange cleaners that I could get the MSDS sheets the pH ranged from 6.2 to 9, or much less acidic than a cup of coffee and most actually tending towards the alkaline (7 being neutral).

Simple Green has a pH of 9.3-9.5 making it more caustic than the orange cleaners. This is really kind of interesting. I would be interested in input from others along these lines. Thanks for the feedback Miker.
