New v70's V70-XC70

We bought a '01 V70 with the low press turbo. It now has 18,500 on the clock. I also still drive my '91 940. What do I like about the new one? It is very responsive, good solid road feel, and like all prior, you can drive 500 to 600 miles a day, and not feel like you have been beat with the ugly stick. I avg. about 24.3 mpg, mixed city and road use. Road trips, @ 70 about 30/31.5. Seats are excellant. Brakes are up to the weight of the car, and you can carry what wife insists on loading in, without sweat. All in all, an excellant driver car. I use rent-a-cars in different citys, and nothing in the mid size that they rent comes close to the Volvo. Winter heating is good, and the air distribution is better than in the older one. Would I buy another one, you bet. This is our third, first being a '79. WE put some 200 to 225 K on the clock and then sell them. That is about 10-12 years use for us. Show me another car that is still running, let alone running good with that kind of milage, and still looks presentable?

Sam in Cinci.
