New v70's V70-XC70

Likes: not an SUV, fastest wagon around, great handling with 17 inch Pirellis and beautiful wheels, great seats, understated good looks, nice audio, and, um, not an SUV

Dislikes: middlin' gas mileage with the big shop-vac-size turbo, kinda pricey, sometimes noisy AC compressor, really noisy roof rack, a little too nice inside for the muddy dogs. . .uh, I'm reaching here.

bottom line: really nice car. The Audis are better looking, and I really never thought I would own a Volvo--they are as popular as golden retrievers in this neighborhood. But the T5 is a complete wolf in sheep's clothing. Safe for the baby sitter to drive, and my wife has no idea it has 250 hp and goes like a banshee.

It replaced, by the way, a 99 Saab 9-5 wagon.
