Front end pop and creak 850 1996

My '96 850 GLT (102K miles) is creaky and pops when taking off from a stop. The sound is definitely related to torgue on the wheels. The usual lock-to-lock turn test does not reveal worn CV axles. I replaced the struts about 10K ago. This problem has existed form about 1 yer and is getting louder and more frequent. Sometime it is a series of slight pops or a creak, other times it is a definitive pop. It only happens on acceleration from stop to about 15 mph.
Am I to suspect the CV joints, control arms, or sway bars/sway bar links?
