So that's why my fan seems to have a mind of it's own occasionally.

Also, in a wagon, the LED won't flash if the tailgate isn't closed completely and you lock the car. I walked by my locked car in the driveway one evening and noticed the LED wasn't flashing to indicate the alarm was armed. After looking around for fuses etc, I discovered the tailgate wasn't closed completely.

With all the diagnostics and warning lights Volvo has incorporated into this car, you'd think there would be a "door ajar" chime or light.
