740 T5? V70-XC70

I've often thought my first project car would be a 745 into which I'd drop a T5, tune and stiffen the suspension, update the lighting and airdam. I think I'd want the same slam-bang, instant change, automatic that came with my 1988 745T, the most awesome car I've ever owned. That car rocked, in no small measure due to the you-got-it-NOW automatic shifter. (By comparison, the you-want-it-WHEN? transmission in my S70T5 sucks.)

I also wonder whether the T5, a Porsche-designed powerplant, would fit neatly into the awesome Porsche 944. This would give me go-kart cornering ability with a beefier engine than came with the car originally. And a great-looking car!

Speaking of good looking cars, saw a black Ferrari 355 driving around town last night. Heartsoppingly beautiful. Perhaps the world's most desireable car....yet barely a curve on it.
