850 Broken upper engine mount on a NON-turbo?? 850 1996

Of course, I know this is common on turbos (hence the IPD unit), but whilst looking under my hood of my 5 speed non turbo with 61,000 miles, the rubber was more the 50% sheared through. I'm gonna get the IPD poly part, but have other NA folks had them break? Does the manual tranny put more stress on this mount?
