Hmm...if it were a Type 44 Audi that would make perfect sense (and I would have the darned thing fixed already too ;-)...)
Question, are the "motors" that control the flaps on the 850 Automatic Climate Control system vacuum actuated? From (briefly at this point) looking at my alldatadiy.com information on the car it appeared to me they were all electric motors, but I could be wrong.
Assuming they are vacuum controlled (I would assume a check valve and reservoir would be someplace since it is a turbo car) where is the vacuum source, and where is the vacuum distribution for the CC system located???? I pulled the CC control panel and all it contains is a computer logic board with some electrical connectors. I looked in the engine bay for vacuum lines going through the firewall already and didn't see any that were obvious. This car did have a recent head replacement (long saga...it's fifth head job) by the dealer and they were specifically told by Volvo to carefully check all vacuum lines (because Volvo picked up the parts tab for yet another head failure)--that said, the dealer missed an obviously bad one on the boost control vacuum circuit.
Any additional help, tips, and advice will be greatly appreceated. (Or, if anyone wants a decent looking 145k mile old '94 855t with a 7k mile old head cheap...lemme know ;-)...)
