Front-end pop and creak foiled 850 1996

Creaking sound on take-off from stop: source of the creaking sound was the sub-frame mounts. Fix: spray the rubber parts with teflon lubricant (kind you use on guns).

Popping sound: the source on my car is the upper engine mount. Although the rubber part is not broken, the mount flexs so much that the bolt is moving front to rear upon putting the transmission through the selections. Mine has a decided metalic popping sound that comes and goes. This movement is likely transmitted to the remainder of the drive train. I just got the yellow GAPA urethane engine mount. Has anyone done this replacement? How do you get the old rubber material out of the metal band it sits in?
