OK, in my previous post a couple of months ago:

I mentioned that I had taken my 850 GLT to a mechanic due to the lack of cold air and that he had told me that the preostats were bad and replaced them... Everyone out here said that, that diagnosis was rediculous, and that the mechanic knew nothing about Volvo's.
What I failed to mention was that the mechanic I had taken the car to was the DEALERSHIP my wife had bought the car from (Stillman Volvo, West Chester PA.) and that the 'preostats' diagnosis was three months after she had purchased the car, and while it was still under warranty. They recharged it and sent her on her way.
The next spring, when she had no air again, and her warranty had expired, she took the car back, and guess what they said the problem was? Yup, the same thing all of you folks guessed the first time out. They told her that the Evap had gone bad, and that she would have to give them $1500 to replace it.
After getting all the information and timeline together, I sent a message via US Mail addressed to the service manager at stillman, in which I laid out the problem, the initial diagnosis, and the latter. I told them that it was probably an honest mistake (they happen) but that I expected them to help me resolve the problem before I had to write directly to Volvo. Now, I expected to get some lame reply on how they'd like to help but can't, or something like that, but I got NTHING. No reply whatsoever. Is this typical Volvo service? Any advice on a possible resolution?
I saw one of Stillman's folks out here responding to some questions, I'd love to hear what he has to say...
