brake wear & service S80 2000

OUR DEALER SAID THAT THE BRAKE PADS WERE 85% WORN @ 15000 MILES & REPLACED THEM
AT AN EXOBITANT SUM. AT 35000 MILES THEY SAY THEY ARE WORN OUT AGAIN AND THE ROTORS NEED REPLACING ALSO ($380). FOR MODERATE INTERSTATE & IN-TOWN DRIVING, THIS SEEMS EXCESSIVE. IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING TO REPLACE BRAKE PADS THIS OFTEN?

ALSO THE DEALER SAID THAT IN ORDER TO NOT VOID THE WARRENTY, THEY HAVE TO DO ALL
THE REQUIRED SERVICE. HOW ABOUT YOU DO-IT-YOURSELFER'S, HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH WARRENTY CLAIMS?
