pulling an 850 with a tow dolly? 850

I will need to tow my 850 across the country and I am trying to decide whether to rent a tow dolly or the vehicle transport, which keeps all four wheels off the ground. The tow dolly seems like it would be easier on the van that will be pulling the car, but I wanted to know if the dolly would be hard on my car.

Anyone have any experiences to share?
