Replacing 2001 V40 centre console with 2002 version S40-V40

yes the parts should fit fine (and you can do it yourself) The tricky aprt is getting the rear cupholder out (I removed my ceter console looking for a lost ring, never did find the ring, but the console came out pretty easy) Just be patient and don't pry too much and you should be fine (and now that I am thinking about it I can't rememebr if I HAD to remove the rear cupholder or just thought I did) you have the two screws on the side, and one in the cd holder (under the armrest) under a little cover. I think I had to remove the trim around the shifter and there were two more screws under the mat in the bin below the radio, it was a few months ago so I can't rememebr the details. I personally prefer the looks of the 2001 console (and have had no problems with the sliding cover) but that's a matter f personal preference. You should be able to manage fine in replacing it. As for the poster who said finally a Canadian, there have been quite a few of us hanging around for a couple of years now (before the mos\del was even available here in my case :) ).
