AC Fan problem 850 1994

The fan on my 855 stops working after about a minute on startup when the AC is on.
But it doesnt happen all the time only when it is hot outside
If I start it in the morning it seems to work fine but if I start it in the afternoon it stops running after a minute.
The temperature display on the dash seems to be wroking normally

I suspect the outside temperature sensor may be the problem. Since it seems to be affected by heat from the pavement while standing still
Has anyone else had this kind of problem??
