Transmission Issues 850

I am having a problem with my transmission shifter. When I put it into drive, the car stays in neutral, but if i move it 1/8 of an inch toward d3, the car functions normally. Now, if it was the PNP switch, the Organge Arrow would be blinking and the check engine light would be coming on and off (according to volvospeed's Bay13), so do you think i need to change my fluid or replace the Microswitch? My dealer told me the transmission fluid needed to be changed, so maybe thats the problem. The shifting problem occured the day after he told me that. What should I do?
