94 check engine light ? 850 1994

The check engine light has to do with your emission control system but putting a couple of tanks of 87 octane through the car probably didn't cause it. More than likely the cause is a faulty (worn out) oxygen sensor. You will have to read the codes which will pinpoint the problem then you can reset the check engine light. The procedure for doing this is at www.volvospeed.com in the Bay 13 section. I would reset the light and see how long it takes for it to come back on. If it comes on within a few hundred miles, go ahead and replace the faulty part. Good Luck.

Jim
