Burnt smell @ 4000 RPM? 850

Hi,

This strange thing started to happen from time to time especially going uphill after I changed my mystery engine oil to Mobil 1. At times, when I rev up to 4000 RPM when I need some extra power while going uphill I can smell a burnt smell in the car. Does anyone have any idea what this is? HAppens rarely and I guess everytime it happened the AC was on. Thanks in advance.
