KmPL or MPG on trip computer 850

Hi, Guys, I need help!!
I purchased a set of trip computer from eBay, it was from a U.S. model Volvo 850. I am in Asia and we use KM/Liter in cars. Now the trip computer is giving me all sorts of funny figures. Is there anyway to adjust the trip computer or any devise in my car so the trip computer will work properly? Thanks in advance for any reply.
