BULB FAILURE - POSITION LIGHT S60 2001

It may sound silly, but I had a similar problem with BMW I owned. There was a brass bottom bulb in one socket and a chrome bottom bulb in the other. High moisture conditions caused the brass to ever so slightly corrode, this changed the resistance in the circut (even though the bulb still worked) giving the circuit a reason to signal a fault. Changed the bulb for a buck fifty and was never a problem again.

Good Luck.
