How do I reset service light 850 1993

Hey Jack,
First off, congrats on your 'new' Volvo. The service light can be reset this way.
There are two black 'boxes' under the hood near the right headlight. One is marked 1 and the other 2. (lift the covers) Number one has a pig tail that you put in socket A7. Turn the ignition key in position II and press the button on the 'A' box four times.(About one second for each press). Wait for the LED to light steady and then press the button once. (Wait till the LED lights steady) Press five times.(wait for steady LED) then press once. If the LED flashes rapidly, your done. Good luck
