HELP!!! Passenger side window not going up!!!! 850

Hello All

My passenger side window on my 96 850 GLT is not going up anymore.

I knew this was a problem and we got it up once before but in a grand moment of stupidity i lowered it!!!!! And now i cannot get the Window up again.

Is the Window motor burned out???? If so can i find out an easy way i can make sure it is the motor and not the switch???

(Sidenote: The geniuses at Volvo decided to put the cup holders above the window switches on the console, causing all the spills from the cups to go to the switches..... a sure recipe for disaster)

1: If it is the window motor how easy is it to replace the motor???? The brand new motor is $300 from Volvo (ouch)!!!!!! Where can i find a used one??? And how easy would to replace it????

2: I spoke to a Volvo mechanic and he told me that the "Window Center Console Switch Pack" is what would need to be replaced. The part new is $166. Can i get that used as well and how hard is it to replace it?????

3: Can i just raise the Window without replace anything????? Removing the door panel and raising the window manually??????

ANY SUGGESTIONS AT THIS TIME WOULD BE GREATL APPRECIATED!!!!

Thanks

Ali
