they all seem to cost "about" the same in that size. They no longer import the studded Vredesteins, The Nokians get good reviews. If you don't want or can't use studded snow tires, the Michelin Artic Alpin (sp?) gets good reviews. So does the Bridgestone Blizzak. My "three season" tires are Dunlop SP5000s, which are actually M&S rated, unusual for a Z rated tire because I may get caught by a late fall/early spring snowstorm where I work.
