Sometimes it's not so smooth..... S60 2001

Hey Tori,
I don't own a s60 but I work at a Volvo retailer. I can tell you that your car has an adaptive function to 'learn' how you drive. Sometimes this can get thrown off and the computer can 'learn' bad habits. Your car's trans computer(tcm) may also require a software update and have it's adaptation reset. Contact your Volvo retailer and ask if your tcm qualifies for any software updates. Irregardless, tell the service adviser that you think the shift points are not smooth anymore, mentioning the tcm adaptation. There are things they can do to correct it. So far I have never had to replace a transmission. They are not like the 850's!!!!!!!! Ask about tech net notes regarding trans shift problems. Let me know what happens. Good luck!
