Tyre wear question 850

I currently have pirelli pzero's with treadwear of 140.They give excellent grip but at the cost of tyre wear.(they dont last very long). I know that if i got for a high treadwear level 250+ i will get a tyre that does not grip as well. What do you think is a good compromise between grip and tread life?
