Alternator, When do they go??? 850

Both of my 740's needed alternator work at between 205,000 and 210,000 miles, one seized, and the other needed new brushes. The one with new brushes is at 232,000 miles now, and the other is at 228,000 miles with a salvage yard alternator that had 110,000 miles on it.

I am not worried about either.

BTW the salvage yard alternator cost $30 because they have so many servicable ones on hand.

I'd say that they were good for 200,000 miles.
