If you paint your trim body color, it looks like the body.

What color is your car? You should consider painting the trim another shade in that family of colors, or in some color that contrasts with the body color. Contrast looks good, consider the early Cross Countrys in white with black trim.

Volvo's new special Cross Country is Deep metallic blue with silver trim. When they put it in the showroom, one of the service writers said that it looks like my car.

We have a teal 855 with beige trim. I brush painted it with rustoleum almost a year ago and the only scratches are on the top of the rear bumper where some things were loaded. A big plus is that you do not have to worry about waxing the trim.

I had planned to have a shop paint my trim, but the best shop that I know around here declined. The owner told me that the "hot" solvents in the paint would cause the paint to peel after a few months.
