Loss of power - Now no start V70-XC70 1998

I received the distress call from my wife at about 12:15 p.m. this past Friday. She was calling from her cell phone that our 1998 V70 R had lost power while she was running errands and now would not start. When I arrived at the scene, I noticed the car turned over ok and it had gas in the tank. I opened the hood and looked around for something obvious but couldn’t find anything noticeably wrong. Tried starting the car again and still nothing. It seemed as if it wasn’t getting any gas (maybe the fuel pump or relay died) or spark (coil or relay)? With that, I called the tow truck (flat bed due to AWD) for a $90.00 lift to the dealer. I know it could be a list of many different things but if anybody would like to take a wild educated guess I’ll take it.

My old 744Ti with over 200k is looking better and better everyday.
