Loss of power - Now no start V70-XC70 1998

When mine became inert 2 weeks ago and needed to be fladbedded to the dealer (who took a week to get the part), it was the ignition switch. But it wouldn't turn over. There's one below that sounds like the battery. On another a suggestion was made of the cam position sensor.

You mentio it;s an AWD V70R but not the mileage, maintainance history, etc. Not that it would help me, but there are Volvo techs who drop by here who might find it helpful.

There is a lot of this going around, and I thought that after 20 years and 400,000 miles driving furrin' cars my V70 is the FIRST one to leave me stranded, and it's done it twice.

Food for thought.

The 744Ti does feature that "environmental-friendly/owner-unfriendly" non-solder in the fuel pump relay, doesn't it?
